My brain hurts from performing the tedious task of job-searching online. I have just two photos and no stories for you. These two images represent the rather intense floral patters that inundate our lives as they make up the majority of the flooring in our new apartment.

Not only does the job search hurt my mind, but so does the floral print.

Not surprisingly, Jess loves the floors (along with our pink and peach colored walls).

My Christmas wish is for an area rug...

and a job.

What's funny is that we both obliviously had enough of this job searching so much that at the same exact time we glanced over at each other's screen only to see one another up-dating our long-lost blog...

This is what my mind was focused on over the past hour+:

anti-glam

I remember the days when I would run the sink on low during the time on was on the toilet so Jake wouldn't hear me if I accidentally "squirted." There were also times when I would use the bathroom as quickly as possible as to not lead Jake on to think that I had some strange bowel issues that would lead me to spend hours on the toilet.

Today (well, actually before today really - but I was just thinking of it today) I grabbed the Sunday newspaper, went in on the toilet and accidentally "squirted" with the door cracked open and no water running to disguise the sounds...

How life changes...

Speaking of which - today we started the job search. Please pray for our sanity and ability to produce and submit quality work, resumes and CVs. That would be a fabulous gift...

Hello Friends,

You guys are too funny and so real! The flooring boggles my mind and it would give me a headache too, but I'm boring that way. I know you guys will get the jobs that are right for what you are supposed to be doing... I have confidence in both you and GOD. So are you all settled in your new place? Can't wait to hear/read more stories.

Love,

Robin

Jess, I hate to break it to you, but when you were running the water it was only softening the sound to your ears, not anyone elses. I'm a master of deadening sounds having lived in an apartment with three kids who I really like to take naps!
Come by again soon...but not until after the 17th, because we're leaving tomorrow to go to Kansas. Khumbu is actually living here right now, though, so if you want to see her, come by!

I thought my comment was so good I should post it twice. When you finished reading, didn't you have the urge to re-read it? I just wanted to make it easy for you.

Hi Jessica and Jake,

Your floor pattern reminds me of when Sue wanted to put dark floral and leaf pattern wall paper in the kitchen. She hung a sample and I told her I felt like a potato bug livng in the vine.
Everyone has differant tastes. Good luck with your interviews. You will do fine.
Love Ya,
Larry and Susan

Great! Now we have to discuss bathroom etiquette. I got asked the other day if I wore boxers or briefs. I paused, and then said;

"just Depends".

Love you both!

Awe, I was just getting home from the hospital when you posted this. Did you get the memo that I totalled my car? I'm ok. Just a little whip-lash.

Three things...and maybe some bonus features...
1) I personally love the flower prints. I'm sure this is just another part of that kindred soul I share with Jess...she's made of my leftovers you know.

2)The job search...I'll be in prayer...still. You guys be in prayer for me to find a great deal on a car with a good percentage rate if we gotta get a loan. :(

3)The newspaper and the cracked door still has nothing on the first time we were sick together...if you need a refresher I can provide it...just not in public. LOL.

and for a bonus...
The day I wrecked the car marked six months in married life, and the first weekend we were apart...minus that month we were married but living apart. ;) It's a good time in life to know that all the quarks of flower floors and bathroom noises really are what makes a house a home.

I love and miss you guys! :) -Mindy May J.
